| Two people that I hardly know are dying and even though I've only met them once or twice by chance, I don't want to let them go. I've known about one person's condition for over a month. The other, I just found out about. They're so close to my age and they are going to die. I can hardly fathom what their going through. I never had a chance to get to know either of them, so this shouldn't be so hard. When I became fully aware of both situations, I was shocked. I just went into my room where my mom was reading a book on my bed and laid down next to her. I mean, I just hugged her for the longest time in complete silence. Finally, my mom began telling me about my childhood. She started out by saying how great I was as a baby. She trailed off into really heartfelt stories about when I was younger and I just broke down. She had so many fond memories of us being together. I just imagined these people as children. I thought about how their parents have the same heartfelt memories and how devastating it would be to lose their child. Just have everything ripped away from them. I cannot even begin to imagine what those families have to cope with. It's not fair. | | |
| So there was this man volunteering for the Salvation Army. You know, one of those people that rings the bell and wishes you a very merry Christmas when you drop spare change into the buckets. Ya so anyway, this guy was singing Jingle Bells, but he totally didn't know the words. It was beautiful.

Anyway, I have obviously been in Chicago.
| So let me tell you all about it.....
Thanksgiving this year was hands down the best I have ever had and probably will ever have in my entire life.
So, Monday and Tuesday I went to Model United Nations. I was South Korea and we kicked ass and took names. I won an outstanding delegation award with my sister. I think United States should've gotten an award too. They kicked ass and took names as well. Wednesday morning is when I embarked on the four day Thanksgiving trip to Indiana.I was only going because my dad hasn't seen his dad in a few years. So, I was going to see my "Pa-paw." I arrived in Evansville around 5:00 p.m. and my grandfather told me all about the mysterious pumpkin that someone left on his doorstep a while back. Then, the Law and Order marathon started and I watched three hours worth in one sitting. As I traveled the rooms of the tiny house, I noticed that there were pathways from room to room dep in the carpet. I don't think "Pa-paw" lifts his feet at all when he walks. So far, I was having an amazing time. Next day, it was Thanksgiving! Yay! I got to go to this awesome one-star diner. It was one of those kinds that's connected to a hotel and it was conveniantly located at the end of the airport runway. Apparently, it had been hit by a jet a few years back. It was amazing. The restaraunt even played music by none other than....The Carpenters. It was an experience.
It was actually sort of depressing.

WHO THE HELL ASSAULTED MY HOUSE WITH PAINTBALLS AT ONE IN THE MORNING? I HATE YOU BITCHES!
Actually, I don't really care. The paint rinsed off. But I swear, it freaked me out this morning. Those guns are loud, okay?
